An alkaline zinc-nickel solution deposits 12-15% nickel onto the products providing an excellent level of corrosion protection – typically salt spray resistance levels in excess of 1000 hours with approx 6 microns of coating and high resistance to thermal shock.
As a standard the finish is blue/grey with a clear chrome 6 free passivation, other post treatments are available such as sealants, lacquers and oils which can further enhance protection/lubricity.
The rack line has been designed with a specific additional capability to plate the inside of components where the inner surface of the product needs a specified coating thickness.
