Surface Protection Ltd has achieved BS EN ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditation and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of environmental care. The company has also begun the process of obtaining the automotive standard ISO TS 16949. The production plant in Darlington is fully IPPC approved.

Many of our customers operate to their specific quality control standards and our systems have been tailored to suit all customer or industry specific requirements. Surface Protection works with numerous automotive customers and is regularly audited consistently gaining positive approvals.

Our quality and environmental process controls are fully supported by a comprehensively equipped analytical laboratory. This in-house facility allows the analysis and control of process solutions to maintain optimum plating efficiencies as well as the essential quality control of effluent and emissions from the plant.

Salt spray, Cyclic corrosion (CCT) testing, electronic X-Ray coating thickness measurement equipment ensures consistency of product quality. Using these systems Surface Protection maintains complete product traceability and can provide certification of conformity for any product at any time. In addition for automotive customers PPAP level 3 documentation can be provided on request. Our laboratory and technical staff are also supported by our main chemistry supplier MacDermid PLC
