With the demand for more and more stringent levels of metal surface cleanliness, Surface Protection Ltdoperates a number of different processes designed to clean a variety of metal surfaces in readiness for surface treatment.
Shot Blasting is used to remove heavy heat treatment scale and oxide layers from a variety of different metallic components. After shot blasting, components can be further processed if required.
Chemical Cleaning and De-Greasing is used to remove grease, oil and light oxide films from components prior to being further processed or oiled.
To meet the demand for ultra clean components in applications such as hydraulic systems, engines, gearboxes and medical instruments, Surface Protection Ltd has invested in the development of industrial sized ultrasonic cleaning lines.
Contamination levels of below 10 micron particle size and typically 5mg of contaminant per kilo of parts can be achieved and certified through our in-house laboratory facilities.
If required components can then be packed in clean room conditions.
