Providing a significant saving in cost and time when compared with hot dip galvanising, Surface Protection's mechanical plating facilities are ideal for the Zinc plating of high tensile components such as bolts, circlips, rivets and dynamic fasteners.

The mechanical process involves Zinc being peened onto the surface of the component ensuring there is no risk of the embrittlement that can occur when using an electrolytic process.

The mechanical nature of the process also ensures an even application of Zinc to the surface. This avoids problems associated with apertures and threads filling as can happen with the hot dip process.

Surface Protection plants have an impressive output in excess of five tonnes per hour and alternative high corrosion resistant finishes available include, Zinc Tin, Zinc Aluminium (Macuguard LM), and Mechanical Galvanising.

For zinc plated circlips, snaprings, retaining rings, spring pins and disc springs contact our associate company Universal Sourcing Network USN.
